Admissions Policy

With the exception of children under 16 years of age, the facility will consider all applicants for admission regardless of age, race, creed, sex, color, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual preference, sponsorship, employment or source of payment. Admission decisions are based on the applicant’s medical condition and skilled care needs, and each application is reviewed by a physician, social worker and nursing director.

The facility gives preference for admission to residents of Chemung County and their family members even if they don’t live in the county. Payment is accepted from Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans, Medicaid, private insurance (including Blue Cross, Fidelis and Excellus plans), Veteran’s Administration and on a private pay basis.

To arrange for a tour of the facility or to get admission information, please call our Admission Coordinator, Kim Ungvarsky at (607) 737-2069
