Chemung County Health Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner
The Nurse Practitioner: Provides direct health care to the clients of the Chemung County Nursing Facility and the Public Health Department. Assures quality care is provided to the clients. Demonstrates readiness and ability to accommodate the needs of all nursing home residents and their families, including LGBT residents. Works with clients and staff to support the prevention and investigation of potential health problems. The work includes the provision of health counseling and care support to improve the health of clients and restore well-being. Work is performed independently with regular consultations with attending physician/medical director on management of care and response to acute/emergency episodes. The incumbent receives general supervision from the CCNF Physician and Medical Director, CCNF Director of Nursing and the Health Department’s Supervising Public Health Nurse.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a New York State license and current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in good standing.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Either graduation from a Nurse Practitioner education program with specialty in adult or family health acceptable to the New York State Department of Education or certification as a Nurse Practitioner with specialty in adult or family health by a national certifying organization acceptable to the New York State Department of Education at time of appointment.

Pay: $100,000-$110,000 per year
