Adult Protective Services (APS) is responsible for seeking to protect vulnerable adults from abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation while respecting the rights of adults with the capacity to self-determination.
Adult Protective Services is a managed service that provides intake, investigation, and assessment of referrals of abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation of impaired vulnerable adults who live in the community.
Eligibility
APS serves individuals 18 years and older who, due to physical and mental impairments where the individual is:
- Has no one available who is willing and able to assist with responsibility
- Unable to protect themselves from abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, or other harm
