Christina Sonsire was first elected to the Legislature for a 4-year term beginning January 1, 2018. Christina is the Legislature's Minority Leader and serves on the Aviation, Corrections and Law, Health and Human Services, and Personnel Committees. Christina has been a partner at the Ziff Law Firm in Elmira since 2011 where she handles plaintiff-side civil litigation. Christina is a member of the Board of Directors for the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and frequently lectures across New York state on a variety of litigation topics. Christina is involved with numerous activities, including:

Chemung Valley Soccer Association (coach)

Christina is a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Georgetown University, and the University of Montana School of Law. She and her husband, Damian, reside in the Town of Elmira with their two young daughters.
