What is WIC?

WIC stands for Women, Infants & Children.

*WIC saves you money on your food budget.
 *WIC supplements what you buy for your family
 *WIC shows you how to be healthier and eat more healthy foods
 *WIC helps you and your family find medical care and you can learn about other services
    in your community that might benefit you.

Who May Apply:

*Pregnant Women *Breastfeeding Women *Postpartum Women (up to 6 months after delivery)
*Infants & Children under the age of 5 years go to the "income guidelines" page

How to qualify for WIC benefits

You must:
 - Live in NYS.  (U.S. Citizenship or legal residency is not
  required.)
- Bring a valid ID
 - Meet the income guidelines set by the
   federal government.

 A person may be eligible for WIC if they receive:
  - Medicaid (or)
  - Food Stamps/SNAP (or)
  - Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
