The Chemung County Department of Aging and Long Term Care is able to assist individuals who do not have access to a computer and/or internet and are unable to self-register. Please call (607) 737-5530 and leave a message to receive assistance with scheduling an appointment.

Booster shots for all three vaccines are offered under the following criteria. A self-attestation form verifying that the patient meets the criteria must be signed on-site.

- Age 65 years of age and older
- Age 18 and older who live in long-term care settings
- Age 18 and older who have underlying medical conditions
- Age 18 and older who work or live in high-risk settings

For individuals who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, the CDC recommends a single booster dose six months or more after the completion of the initial series. For individuals who previously received a primary dose of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine, a single booster dose vaccine is recommended at least two months after the administration of the first dose.

The booster dose should be given using the same vaccine manufacturer that the person received for the primary series. The Chemung County Health Department will not allow the mixing of vaccine manufacturer products when administering booster doses at vaccination clinics.

The Chemung County Health Department does not ask for insurance information or charge any fee for vaccination. Make sure you drink plenty of water and eat something before you arrive to the vaccination clinic. Masks are required to be worn at all clinics.
