On behalf of County Executive Christopher J. Moss, Chemung County cordially invites you to the Ribbon Cutting for the Horseheads Connector Road Project.

Exit: After the ceremony, please exit using the new roundabout at State Route 13. The roadway will be open at this time!
The $24.9M Federally and State funded project has been finished ahead of schedule and under budget. The Project included the construction of a new roadway and bridge, two modern roundabouts, improvements to CR68 Old Ithaca Road, a new railroad grade crossing and paving on CR21 Wygant Road, and improvements to the Horseheads Levee. The roadway provides direct access from I-86 via State Route 13 to the industrial park formerly known as the Holding Point, helping to remove truck traffic from local roads and providing for the efficient movement of goods. Southern Tier Logistics, the owner of a substantial portion of the industrial park, is investing heavily in the facility over the next several years, both for its own use and to the benefit of the other park businesses.
Chemung County thanks its partners at FHWA and NYSDOT for their support and funding of the project. Additional thanks go to our elected officials at the Federal and State level, Congressman Nick Langworthy, Senator Tom O’Mara, and Assemblymen Chris Friend and Phil Palmesano. We are also very appreciative to our design engineer Erdman Anthony, and our contractor Ramsey Constructors. Their professionalism made this project a great success!
Please contact me with any questions – looking forward to seeing you there, rain or shine! (We will have a shelter in the event of rain.)
Christopher J. Moss
