Closing of section of the Lackawanna Trail from November 27 to December 22, 2023

November 17, 2023

Closing of section of the Lackawanna Trail from November 27 to December 22, 2023

Due to the continuing construction of the Chemung County Sewer District Consolidation Program, a section of the Lackawanna Trail between the East Water Street Entrance and the Lowman Trail Access point will be closed from November 27, 2023, to December 22, 2023. From December 22, 2023, through July 2025, a temporary grass pathway will allow for the trail's reopening. Please find the maps below for further details. Any questions should be emailed to ccsdconsolidation@chemungcountyny.gov.
