Chemung County Microenterprise Applications Accepted
Chemung County is accepting applications from small businesses and start-ups for Microenterprise Assistance Program grant funding, provided by a Chemung County NYS Homes and Community Renewal CDBG award, and administered by Alternatives Credit Union. This program will award grants to small businesses in Chemung County located outside of the City of Elmira, with applications accepted on a rolling basis.
Grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 are available to businesses. Eligibility requires that recipient businesses must either be owned by a low- or moderate-income person or, as a result of receiving the grant, create one or more full-time equivalent jobs for low-or moderate-income individuals.
Applications are accepted via the Alternatives Credit Union MAP portal: https://alternatives.synergenttarget.com/map-grant/. Applications require a detailed business plan that includes historical financial statements (if available) and financial projections for the business. An information session to assist prospective applicants in meeting business plan requirements will be held by IncubatorWorks on the 3rd floor of Corning Community College, 318 Madison Avenue, on May 20th at 5:00pm.
