CHEMUNG COUNTY - Chemung County residents can get moving and win great prizes this summer during the brand new Park Prize Pursuit. This free scavenger hunt, open to all ages, awards participants for finding the answers to clues in local parks.  

Between June 11th and September 4th residents can look for this and other clues at local parks and trails throughout the County.  Residents can go to to download all the clues or stop in the Chemung County Health Dept. at 103 Washington St. to pick up a copy.

Each clue that is answered correctly will earn the person an entry into the random prize drawing to be held on September 10th.  Prizes include a $100 Clemens Center gift certificate and Wegmans gift cards. Others are geared to physical activity and include a Fit Bit, corn hole, ladder ball, jarts, bocce ball, and hiking poles.  Residents can turn in their answers in person or mail them to the Health Department at any time before September 4th.  Answers can also be submitted by downloading the Survey Monkey app or going online at  Questions can be directed to Dawn Bush at 607-737-2856 or
