“Chemung County Senior Games Begin May 7th”
The 2019 Chemung County Senior Games are scheduled for May 7th through May 22th and will include softball, pickleball, golf, shuffleboard, bocce, bowling, corn hole(bean bag toss), and many more events for participants age 50 and over, at sites throughout the county. Nearly 500 athletes from throughout New York State, Pennsylvania, and from as far away as Rochester participated in last year’s Senior Games.
New for 2019: A Field Day and Picnic is planned on Friday, May 17th at the Harris Hill Youth Camp for all registered participants. There will be several "Just for Fun" events including horseshoes, corn hole, miniature golf and more. In addition, there will be several agencies on hand participating in a health and wellness information fair. Not to mention a delicious picnic! In addition to the regular $10 registration fee for the Senior Games, there is an additional $5 fee for this day, which includes all the just for fun events as well as the picnic.
